Built using Mitsubishis RISE body construct technology, 7 airbags and a host of other safety features, the Shogun Sport is built to protect everything and anyone you care about.
Collision safety performance is significantly enhanced by Mitsubishi Motors’ RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body, which efficiently absorbs energy and maintains high cabin integrity in the event of a collision.
The body is extremely sturdy and lightweight, due to the generous use of high tensile strength steel plates that also contribute to a high level of collision safety.Switch to panel view
The Shogun Sport is fitted with driver and front passenger airbags and driver knee SRS airbag for maximum protection in the event of a frontal collision.
Side and curtain SRS airbags are also standard on all models protecting against side-on collision, inflating from the side of the seat to protect the torso, and from the roof lining to proect the head.
The Forward Collision Mitigation system built into the Shogun Sport is designed to help prevent and reduce frontal damage to the vehicle if a frontal collision is unavoidable of speeds up to 18 MPH.
To help prevent collisions while parking, this system sounds a buzzer and displays a warning if front or rear sensors detect a nearby obstacle in your path. Engine output is also automatically controlled if you suddenly accelerate by accident.
ESS (Emergency Stop signal System) reduces the possibility of rear end collisions during sudden braking by the rapid and automatic blinking of the hazard warning lamps to alert vehicles approaching from behind.
When stopped on a slope, HSA (Hill Start Assist) automatically holds the brakes for about 2 seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal and applies the accelerator, to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards.
The Shogun sport is equipped with front and rear parking sensors to help navigate your way through tough parking situations. These are also coupled together with the 360 degree camera which gives you a birds eye view of the vehicle.
To prevent ‘trailer swing’ when towing at speed, Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) will control individual wheel slip to stabilise the trailer. The system detects when the trailer is starting to oscillate and automatically warns drivers behind by flashing brake lights on both the car and trailer.Explore towing
